A Review of the Ice Cream Diet - Can You Really Lose Weight While Eating Ice Cream?

By James Steele

Believe it or not, but the Ice Cream Diet has been turning a lot of heads, lately, and for a lot of reasons, too. The deal about this is the person who devised the Ice Cream Diet claims you can shed some pounds, as many as you want, all the while being able to eat your daily ice cream. In order to determine whether this diet is for real or not, we decided to review it and tell you the benefits and disadvantages it has.

The Ice Cream Diet is not low in saturated fats. Cheese, Meat and Fish are also on the menu of foods you get to eat along with the ice cream in this diet. While saturated fats are often included on the list of "bad" fats, recent research suggests that this is not justified, and that the human body needs a certain amount of saturated fat. Follow the recommedations and you wont be getting a very large amount of saturated fat. The Ice Cream Diet may be a healthy alternative to the conventional diets.

One problem with the Ice Cream Diet is that the title is somewhat misleading. There still is, however, the emphasis on low daily caloric intake, but you can eat a bit of the good stuff, too. It is "not" accurate to think the diet is based on eating ice cream, and we've tried to make that clear.

The critics say there isn't enough scientific evidence or testimonials to support the claims that the Ice Cream Diet really works. While using the Ice Cream Diet quite a few people claim that it does work. The Ice Cream Diet is still questionable as to it's effectiveness. So if you decide to try this diet for yourself, you have to see for yourself if it works for you.

In conclusion, the Ice Cream Diet can be a healthy and realistic way for many people to lose weight. It depends, however, on sticking to the dietary and exercise recommendations and eating a very limited amount of ice cream. Think you're up to the task? If so, then you can lose weight and keep it off.
